Denture cases for individual patients go back and forth between the clinic and laboratory as there are multiple steps involved in manufacturing a denture from special trays, bite blocks, wax try-in, and final processing.
A common question we receive is how to complete the online prescription form for cases where there are multiple steps for the same patient. Each time you send a case to us you'll need to fill out a new prescription form. This is so you can specify what you'd like for the next patient appointment. It will automatically be assigned a new case number, and that's ok.
Below are step-by-step instructions on how to submit a case to process an existing try-in:
1. Select teeth on the odontogram and choose 'Denture' from the menu on the right
2. Under 'Step', you’ll want to select the option ‘process an existing try-in’. Complete the prescription form and select ‘Add’ at the bottom of the form.
3. Include any additional instructions for the technician in the field provided.
4. Schedule a pickup at a time that suits you. Print the packing slip and include it with the case materials.
